![]() ![]() The mission, STS-135, was the final flight of the Space Shuttle program, and Atlantis carried a crew of four astronauts and a payload of supplies to the International Space Station. The last space shuttle launch occurred on July 8, 2011, when the shuttle Atlantis took off from Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
